Macnas Youth Theatre
Macnas Youth Theatre is about developing talent in performance and the spectacle arts and strengthening relationships with diverse communities in Galway to develop an appreciation and understanding of spectacle arts and the important role that participation plays in Macnas. Throughout the year the Youth Theatre are part of the core artistic programme of the company and participate in indoor and outdoor spectacle events created in collaboration with professional artists.
Macnas Youth Theatre aims to provide a safe environment where young people can explore and articulate what is important to them, what their needs might be and creative ways of having their needs expressed.

Join Macnas Youth Theatre in 2026!
We’re now accepting expressions of interest for young people aged 14-17. Come along to our open audition workshop on Monday, 26 January and explore your talent in performance and spectacle arts!
This free, year-round programme includes weekly workshops during school terms and the chance to take part in indoor and outdoor spectacle events alongside professional artists.
